Joel Gerson is one of the pioneers of jiu-jitsu and MMA in Canada with a strong background in judo. His greatest achievement was defeating Rumino Sato by armbar in Shooto in 1998. At that time, Rumino Sato was Japan's greatest MMA champion and was undefeated until that point. Today, Joel runs Revolution MMA, one of the biggest MMA gyms in Toronto, with several locations.
Joel shared with us a bunch of stand up techniques that you will find very useful the next time you are trying to takedown your opponent.
