The UAEJJF is gearing up for the 5th and final Abu Dhabi Grand Slam event of the season, to be held at the Copper Box Arena in London, England on March 9 & 10. This particular event is an important one not only because of the sizeable cash prizes to be won ($120,000 USD in total), but because it's a chance for category winners to rack up serious points in the UAEJJF World Ranking leading into the Abu Dhabi World Pro Championships in the UAE in April. These ranking points are the key to the big money at the end of the season, awarded at the annual UAEJJF Jiu-Jitsu Awards in Abu Dhabi. Needless to say, with so much on the line emotions will run high at this 4th annual edition of Abu Dhabi Grand Slam London, making for an unmissable event for fans and competitors alike.
Open to competitors of all nationalities and all belt levels of adults, masters and juveniles, ADGS London draws people from all corners of the UK, Europe, Middle East, Asia and beyond, and promises to be one of the biggest and most impressive events of the year (as you might remember from the last 3 editions of ADGS London). Many say that it's an event well-worth traveling for.
Standout British black belts aim to bring the heat and put on a good show for the fans against the plethora of top foreign competitors set to compete. And as an exciting addition for fans, the event will also feature the latest edition of Abu Dhabi King of Mats, a prestigious invitational in which 10 of jiu-jitsu's top lightweight black belt competitors (including Gianni Grippo and Paulo Miyao) will battle it out for a combined prize total of $42,000 USD.
With more television broadcast coverage than ever before, you can watch the action live on Abu Dhabi Sports in the MENA region, on Canal Combate in Brazil, on Airtel TV, Idea Movies & TV, Jio TV and Triple Play IPTV in India, and worldwide live stream on FloGrappling.
The event will also be aired on delayed basis on FOX Sports in Asia, Fight Sports in North America, Caribbean, Europe, Japan, Fight Network in Canada, Europe and MENA, Astro in Malaysia, Starhub in Singapore, ABS-CBN Sports in Philippines, MNC Group, IndiHome and MyRepublik in Indonesia, Singtel in Singapore and Australia, Azam Sports in Africa, EB-TV in Asia, J Sports and TV Asahi in Japan, SFR Sports in Europe, Dubai Sports and Sharjah Sports in MENA.
