Whether you do jiu-jitsu or not, shoulder pain is a common curse that plagues many athletes. Of course, it's especially bad if you're been keylocked and kimura'd one too many times over your career. Also, as we get older we also progressively get stiffer, we have to stretch more often. But the more problems we have, the more maintenance is required and that can be time consuming when you have a busy daily routine.
Just yesterday I was watching Joe Rogan's podcast with Dan Blizerian while they were discussing the Instagram success of Gianluca Vacchi, and Joe started complaining about his old age and what he has to do to take care of his body pain. The most interesting thing he explained was how hanging off a bar really improved his shoulder pain relief. So, naturally, I had to look into it because it's quite easy to assume that all of us jiu-jitsu folk would need this.
